I can't help you there since I've never actually used a PC in my life. I've been a Mac user since they first came out. But I'm available for basic questions if you should have any. I haven't upgraded to Mac 10.2 yet (still on 10.1.5), but I still can help you with at least the basics of the system.

Switching can be a frustrating experience but I like to think that once a person gets everything sorted out and settled in, they'll find using the Mac to be more enjoyable than a Windows box. But of course, I'm extremely biased. :)

i looked at a few scripts, but ultimately ended up importing everything into mozilla on my pc, renaming all the boxes and folders to .mbox, sharing the PC folder with the mac and then dragging them right into entourage. the solution was pretty painless, but finding it was a pain in the ass. now if i can just "find" dreamweaver, i'll be a happy mac-er.

The UNO bookstore has it at the student price, or at least some of the Macromedia products - I'm sure they can get it if they don't have it. You don't need to be a student to purchase it from there.

Try Entourage:File:Import to start a wizard. Outlook Express is one of the listed choices. You should be able to import everything - contacts, dates etc.

Re: import
if only it were that easy. i was surprised to see all those mail programs *except* outlook in there. really surprised since they are both microsoft.... i know, i know, different OS', different databases. outlook really doesn't like to let go of its database, does it?
by the way, i use outlook, the real thing, not express ;)

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
