lost in email

i am trying desperately to catch up on emails. i have absolutely no patience for the stuff. i have good intentions...i mean to answer it. sometimes i feel like i have all these little people sitting in my inbox, bumping into each other trying to find the letters on my keyboard. i seem to think that if i read the email i have acknowledged it, as if i communicated my thoughts in reply via some cyber ESP and i don't have to hit the reply button at all. i make things worse in trying to organize it in folders by people, by importance, by business, by personal and by "who cares". and every time i whittle them down to one screen scroll, i promise myself i will start answering them as they come in and not get so far behind again. yeah, right.
then there are all these personal ad correspondences....do i make a tacky boilerplate to tell them all i have been taken out of the lost and found box and claimed? or do i just delete them? put them in a folder so i don't see them? sell them to other seekers? turn them into a tacky adult bookstore novel?

you are a book called

dr. seuss book warped you?

My suggestion for the personal ad correspondences? Dump them. But that's just me...you know, Master?

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
