hope is the thing with feathers....

"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea,
Yet never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

a sore storm i have been some time.... not bashing the bird that kept others warm, but despising it. no room in my house for this bird, even as i would oft open the door and invite it in.... i would, as quickly, bid it leave. i never heard it, because i would not listen.
i hear it now. i am infused with it. impossibilities are falling behind and giving way to the garden lights of possibility.

the ice princess is melting :)

peace and soft smiles...

quick question
Not quite sure how to ask, so I suppose the most direct works best.
I'm kinda new at this lifejournal thing, and I'm trying to...errrr...explore(?) diffrent feelings (for lack of a better word) and I found your community but see that no one has replied in quite some time. Since I'm interested in learning more about Curiosa, I was perhaps hoping you might tell me where I can go to find out more regarding this..lifestyle(?) (again, for lack of a better word). I'm just at the stage where I want to understand and see if there's anything there that attracts me. Thanks.

Re: quick question
hi Yomm,
i am assuming you mean the BDSM lifestyle? my first suggestion would be to just read, read, read. there is a wealth of information on the web and it surely is enough to find out if there is anything here "that attracts" you.

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
