Friday Five Time

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not?
coffee. the usual is coffee and OJ. my tummy doesn't wake up until early afternoon.

2. What's your favorite cereal?
i don't care much for cereal. probably because i don't like milk. when i was a kid i used to like captain crunch peanut butter right out of the box without milk and i'd pick all the charms out of lucky charms....they were magically delicious.

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change?
three or four times a week. don't need it to change...i don't cook.

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that?
whatever.... menus make good recipes.

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why?
bon temps on poydras. the food is excellent and the service is always good.

propaganda
I got that same email from my sister two weeks ago and this is what I said to her ...
The intent of this letter is plane. You would think that Muslims are against America. Using the sentiments of Veterans remembrance this definition invokes the "us vs. them" banter to separate and confuse the real argument when the real issue is economic opportunities and inclusion. In this propaganda, the real "us" is not truly recognized. Nor are the targets properly recognized. They are reported as symbols of America instead of in the attackers consideration as American military and American corporation. "To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors." This final sentence is particularly confusing and identifies the author grasping at legitimacy (theme of letter.) Would the Post Office really honor these militant extremists with a stamp, Please.

The State has been and is influenced by monied tyrants. In the rush to be patriotic, we are warned against the foolish indulgence of disagreement. When in fact they seek to purchase the continuance of the status quote. I wonder if your buying what there are selling.

If I or anyone disagrees with the positioning of this letter am I to be considered as a supporter of the "them" ? Life is not lived in black and white how can we seek to understand it as such. Come on Sis write to me talk to me what’s up.

do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
