finally, a productive writing day. i printed out three chapters to submit tomorrow and am more than half way done with another. unlikely, but if i can keep this up i could have a solid draft by mid-April... which was my self-imposed, but totally unrealistic deadline.

but....(always a but), i need to finish reading Mullener's War Stories, so i am prepared when she visits the class this week! And i have to finish writing Walter's biography, which means another trip to the archives before thursday.

there just aren't enough hours in the day....i think daylight savings time is leeching them. there has to be repercussions for screwing with the time.

I object to being told that I am saving daylight when my reason tells me that I am doing nothing of the kind... At the back of the Daylight Saving scheme, I detect the bony, blue-fingered hand of Puritanism, eager to push people into bed earlier, and get them up earlier, to make them healthy, wealthy, and wise in spite of themselves.
— Robertson Davies (The Papers of Samuel Marchbanks)

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
