This is why I refuse to buy water.  It wasn't the plastic that got me as horrid as it is, but the corporations buying water rights . . . i was appalled.
i'll have tap in my own bottles, thank you.

I agree with your views on our water rights, there was nothing on mineral rights that people in our great state are auctioning off to the highest bidder. I'm just a little north of you in Shreveport, La people don't realize they are giving up all their rights of ownership of land, when getting the check from a oil company. when they have teams of lawyers wording the contracts they sign. The individual landowner can not afford a lengthy court battle when the oil co. decide they want your land, its a sign of the times to come. James

oil is a horrible situation too!
when i was a kid, about once a week we would take all of our water containers to abita springs (we lived in nearby mandeville) and fill them from the spring in the middle of town for free. then a corporation bought the rights to the spring, sealed it up, bottled the water in nasty plastic and sold it. the town no longer had access to the water and everyone (including the animals and the earth) has to pay for it. there are so few pure water sources left. when i travel i always look for them through findaspring.com and fill up everything i can!

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
