back (again)

i'd make a big deal about being back on LJ....you know fanfare, hoopla, and all that jazz.... but it gets old, eh?
i didn't like wordpress and i really am trying to get back into the journaling thing in the hope that it will stimulate my muses....
so here goes...

ever most sincerely,
the girl who cried bloggin' wolf

PS I've changed the name.... maia is long gone.......now my personal and my semi-personal blog is one. no more sybil.

Welcome back! I've been gone a long while myself, trying to get back into the swing of blogging as well.

*laugh* Well, I suppose you could simply type "thumbs up"?

Facebook IS a bit mind-numbing, agreed. I like it for the way it's helped me reconnect with so many people from my past, but between the limited-character entry fields and the total lack of archiving, I've been finding it a bit frustrating when it comes to using it as a means of actually sharing what I want to say.

well. perhaps we can encourage each other to post more. a little FB reminder now and then. i've had a complete writer's block with my thesis and thought forcing myself to journal might get me back in the groove... so i expect some of my posts are going to be more academic than personal for a bit.... plus i really want to document my journey to becoming a full time vandweller!

don't fear death
melissa muses (or maia, you choose)

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
