don't fear death

Friday the 13th

i finally put my new shelving together last night. i like it. it opens up more room in the living area and gives me a place for some of my books. it is finally not raining, so i should be able to get out and scrub down the sailboat today. have to do something with my day off! briarroseno is coming over this evening with champagne and pizza to christen the boat and then we will head to the spotted cat later to listen to the jazz vipers. i feel lazy tonight and not much like going out, but by 10ish i should have some energy. :)
i noticed one of the covered slips behind me got satellite internet. sometime today i will plug in my wireless card and see if they share. if not, i am half tempted to leave a note and ask if they will. dial up is really painful. i tried to get satellite, but they won't put it on a piling and the dish has to be 5 feet from humans because "it gives off radiation". pleasant thought. i'd take a little radiation for a little speed.
no word from mr. standup. that is just plain rude. i am sure i had a better time than if he had shown up, but it is still rude! i know i have stood people up before, but i call or, at the very least, send an email. not sure why i care when i was dreading the date! just rude ;)

here's the Friday Five:

1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
"How do you like it?"
and go from there :)

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?
not that i can recall

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
Gor.... yeah, i know it is corny. when i first began to explore this lifestyle and realize there were names and terms and other people about BDSM, i picked up the books. minus the three moons and tarns, i was intrigued. a world where women are owned by men and used for their pleasure..... ya, that was my kind of planet.

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?
to be able to draw and paint. i have no visual artistic ability at all. trees, stick figures and houses.....like those of a three year old!

i forgot to post this. it is now much later and i did scrub the sailboat. have a bit of the back left to go, but tomorrow is another day. too tired for the vipers, but sipped champagne with carolyn and relaxed. one of my neighbors offered to take me out on mignon sunday. i can't wait. :)

lovely night, it is. going to enjoy the rest of it and then sleep!
