don't fear death

friday five

1. What is your most prized material possession?
i have a little tin of rocks i collected from the basement of poe's house in PA, where he was inspired to write the tell tale heart. i scooped them up when the park ranger wasn't looking.

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
probably a hamsa (isreali good luck charm) that i hang over the door of where ever i am living (even when i go out of the country for a long time). i think it has hung over every door of every place i have lived since i have been out on my own. i have some books too that i have held on to for a very long time.

3. Are you a packrat?
not at all. i often regret tossing something out that i got tired of having around.

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
since i live in small quarters (a boat) it has to stay pretty neat and organized.

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
quite eclectic. my bedroom is a mix of tribal masks and knick knacks and lace....lots of pillows and fluffy comforters....someone once told me it was an excavation just to get into my bed. the bathroom is celestial, suns and moons and stars. the galley and living room sort of meld together in eclectic disarray. ;)
