The Geats and the Jutes
I stopped watching the movie when Beowulf met Hrothgar in Heorot and said "Yo my name is Beowulf and this is my Posse the Geats we are here to bitch slap Grendal and his mother" I swear Loki wrote the script.

The 13th warrior at least had a believable leader. I would recommend Sean Connery in the name of the Rose, it a bit dark but a good movie, that or First Knight for mindless amusement.

Keep strong

Re: The Geats and the Jutes
i've seen the name of the rose.
once i heard all the family relations in beowulf, it was too much for me. i wrote my senior thesis on beowulf and simply love the story and its history. i would like to see a movie of john gardner's grendel. great book.
i ended up watching the coen brother's no country for old men.

I remember how much you loved the poem, we discussed the Seamus Heaney version once, It was a saving grace that you did not watch the latest misrepresentation let alone be stupid enough to buy it sight unseen as I did :(( I started on John Gardener with the Werewolf Trace and apart from the Bond venture have always liked his books especially the Return of Moriarty.

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself

do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
