Horrorfest started this weekend. anyone going? (its nationwide)
i want to see all of the movies, but i know if i do, i won't study at all. i think there is supposed an encore next weekend, so maybe if the ones i miss are the most popular i will get a second chance.
i definitely want to see Penny Dreadful today and maybe Wicked Little Things and The Hamiltons tomorrow. i kinda want to see Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror too.....hip hop horror has to be interesting! i absolutely loved Carmen in hip hop. i have always thought someone should hip hop shakespeare, not just the play, but the sonnets, as a series. and chaucer - it is lewd enough in itself.

P.S. Nice to meet you in SL Mr. Anonymous Poster. i looked up "faith" in the sense in which i was using it....a better word is "confidence" :)

There is a Rap version of the Canterbury Tales!...its pretty funny... there may be more than one, but Baba Brinkman's version is the one I'm familiar with...

There's a Horrorfest at my place Every weekend... jk - naw, I just have friends come over to watch movies on the big screen in surround sound on occasion - its too hard to get a band of people to coordinate their schedules for a group movie expedition... I'd like to go though... I had Halloween Marathon of Young Frankenstein, Army of Darkness, Shaun of the Dead and Rob Zombie's the Devil's Rejects over the Halloween Holliday this year...

I know I was being somewhat challenging in sl... I figure that deep down, you like a good challenge, I hope so. So I'm going to keep a full court press going for now - lol. I do understand that you have "confidence," and in more than one respect... and I salute YOU! lol... hope to catch up with you again soon...

hip hop, not rap :)
i think there is a lot of shakespeare rap out there too.

you don't need a group of people to go to the movies... ;)

I know... I inherited a huge HDTV and surround sound system, so rather than visiting the theater for a flick I'd like to see, I catch it at home. I'm lucky - there's lots funky video stores near me that rent indie films... I still go to film fests every once and a while at the Red Vic, or even better; in back of the Zeitgeist biker bar - they've got beer, BBQ, and freaks like me there. Its fun!

"Confidence" connotes subjective experiences which lead to an objective conclusion... but not necessarily a scientific hypothesis or logical or formal proof (though they could also produce a sense of "confidence" regarding their conclusions.) If one's degree of confidence regarding a matter is high, then one should be able to provide a basis for or evidence of some subjective experiences which lend themselves to a specific logical, deductive conclusion. Elementary examples of such physical phenomena abound (water is wet, object can fall, is hot, day follows night...) As a seeker hungry for truth, peace, and bliss - I beg of you; please share the insights which inform your "confidence" (beyond faith or belief?) in Karma as you perceive it. My respect and devotion to you and your opinions on such matters is sincere...

Re: Confidence
you are too academic for me while i am taking finals. perhaps next time we talk. although, as i said, given all you have read and done, i doubt there is anything i can tell you that would "enlighten" you. just keep it simple...confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on something. its personal ;)

Re: Confidence
Well, that's just pathetic... but I'll let you slide this time because of your finals and choice of music, and for a few other reasons I won't say here.

I'm not being academic at all - I abhor that garbage along with Newspeak, logorrhoea, pleonasm, and any inflated literary style that panders euphemisms and doublespeak. Don't think you're getting outa this one easy though, punk. lol....

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
