can't sleep

i can't sleep.... my sister and i have never been particularly close, but the fact that she is in jail tonight truly does bother me. tomorrow morning she will have an extradition hearing. she will waive it and be off to alaska some time next week to be arraigned on a $500,000 cash only bond. who has that kind of cash?
the DA called to give me a warning that Dateline and 48 Hours is looking for the story and may get my contact info. our family may want to prepare a statement, she said.
hmmmm..... i am her sister. i will not judge her, but i will support her.
the press is making her look awful....the very worst, so far, is this one. there are a lot of "alleged" references left out.
the old computer with emails was one she sent to me just after the murder.... asking me to delete everything on it... to wipe the hard drive clean. i didn't do it. they later confiscated it and apparently found what she wanted me to delete. this is what i had to testify to at the grand jury. it was one of the most difficult things i have ever done.............

I'm really sorry that you are going through all this. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

For what it's worth, you would've had to wipe that drive many many times over for them to not find something.

i know...delete and rewrite. i didn't want to get involved.
my testimony at the grand jury was supposed to be sealed. it is in the paper this morning.....

From all that's happened with leaked testimony in high profile cases like some of what's been happening in baseball, this comes as no shock. What would be a shock is if the "leakers" were ever brought to justice, since (at least I thought) that is a crime in itself.

i can't even begin to imagine what going through this is like for you, and as if it wasn't enough, having to read everything the press has to say. i hope everything turns out for the best for everyone, including you, your sister, and the families of everyone else involved.

wandering does not make you a "gypsy."
why would you call yourself
after those who have no home?
long skirts and hoop earrings
do not make you a "gypsy."
why do you call yourself after
those who have no clothes?

"gypsy" is pejorative. please don't perpetuate the stereotype. educate yourself on what it really means to be a "gypsy" in this world.
